Flavor Profile: This one here is what my dad calls a dustcutter. You just mowed the lawn, and are parched. Americana is styled after a Spanish Sidra or a German Apfelwine. Some suggest this is similar to what our forefathers were slinging back, pre-prohibition. Pours a bright straw yellow, with medium carbonation. Serious citrus aromatic tang and lightly sour notes carry through a long and lingering finish. Little bit of tannin for balance. Dry, like the others in the Woodbox collection.
You wanna know if you got a good cider? Let it warm up and taste the flavor profiles develop and change. The ideal temperature range is between 45° F and 65° F (55° F being midpoint), though this isn't an exact science. This IS CIDER.
From the Cidery: Made from a blend of local gravensteins and crabapples, this cider is 100% wild-fermented. A throwback to the original classic, we made this cider to be distinctly American: wild, free, and boldly acidic with just a touch of funk from the wild side!
Pair it with: Burgers and fries. Lamb burger and fries. Great acid in this one makes it a natural with any heartier food. The lightness of this cider makes it great anytime. I had some fish and chips with it. Hoooooo-doggonnit!
