Le Brun Cidre de Bretagne (Brittany, France)
The Le Brun Cider House (Earl Cidre Le Brun) has been making traditional Cidre de Bretagne since 1955. From the Brittany region in Northwestern France, an area with one of the longest standing cider making traditions in the world. All of their ciders are made with approximately 20 different cider apple varieties grown in their estate orchards. Each blend varies, though most commonly included apple varieties include: Kermerien, Marie Ménard, Douce Moên, Peau de Chien, Douce Coêtligné.
Each of their ciders is fermented naturally, and filtered using the keeving methods traditional to this area. Aged for approximately 6 months after fermentation, before bottling using traditional / natural carbonation methods.
