The UK is home to some of the world's best cidermakers. Cidermaking in the UK dates back many centuries, with the primary traditional cidermaking regions in the Three Counties (Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, and Worcestershire) and Southwest England (Somerset and Devon).
You will find cider available in basically any pub you visit in England, though the styles of cider available vary considerably. In a broad sense, the typical "style" from the Western counties of the UK are farmhouse ciders made with traditional bittersweet and bittersharp apple varieties. Perry is also commonly made with traditional perry pears (pears that you would never eat, but make for an excellent beverage).
