Botanist & Barrel's Cúrate Cider is a Spanish style cider made from a blend of crab and heirloom apples grown in the storied orchards of North Carolina and Virginia. Cúrate is Botanist & Barrel's signature Spanish-style cider. Aged in Cognac and Chardonnay barrels, then finished in bottle using a méthode ancestrale-style fermentation, it brings both tradition and terroir to the glass.
Dry, refreshing, and lightly effervescent with little residual sugar, it’s the perfect pairing for charcuterie, salty snacks, and long, hot summer afternoons.
Tasting Notes: dry, tart, punchy green apple flavor and slight sour note that will appeal to Spanish Cider lovers. Plus acidity, minus tannin. Notes of apple skin, white grape, soft barrel/wood hint, lemon juice, and minerality. Floral and green apple on the nose. Soft effervescence, benefits from a long-pour inspired splash into your glass.
Drink it with: jamón, Manchego, marinated olives, or tinned fish on toast.
