Raging Cider's Got!?!? is the fourth vintage release of what has since become an annual release, featuring a dry, tart, and feral blend of crab apple varieties to make a bold yet delicious cider.
This is the fourth in Raging's series of Got Crabs and most definitely our favorite with the most different types of crabapples. It's similar to the first Got Crabs yet far more complex and absolutely delicious.
About Raging Cider & Mead Company: Head cider maker Dave Carr makes a range of excellent cider, perry, mead, wine, and coferments in partnership with his family at their San Diego based cidery. Their ciders are all made with locally sourced fruit and honey from San Diego County - very rare amongst cideries in the area, most of which primarily use juice brought in from near and far. Dave and his family forage apples and pears and help manage several orchards throughout San Diego County. The many mountains and canyons just east of San Diego on the way to Julian, California are an abundant source of interesting fruit. The unique growing conditions of these mountains often result in higher levels of acid as well as higher sugar content (and thus higher alcohol). Dave uses natural fermentation methods (wild fermentation via native yeast) on the fruit for all of his ciders. Between the cidermaking style and the unique qualities of the fruit, these small batch ciders are all one of a kind.
