Nashi Orchards - Cider & Perry Tasting Bundle
Grab yourself a 3-bottle or 6-bottle box of Nashi Orchards' award-winning Perry & Ciders
Each box features a mix of the latest releases from Nashi Orchards. Current varieties include:
Ridge Reserve Perry: Organic D’Anjou pears grown at Sakura Ridge orchard in Hood River, Oregon and fermented with Hendre Huffcap pears from Parkdale, Oregon. Pear forward with a touch of tannins. Slightly sweet, elegant and easy drinking. This Perry won Best in Class in the 2024 GLINTCAP competition, and a Gold Medal at NW Cider Cup. Slightly cloudy beautiful blush color. This perry is semi-dry, with medium-minus tannins, and medium acidity. Flavor notes of fresh danjou pear, pear skin, lemon peel, and mild tannins … tart and dry finish with a lime zest linger.
Sakura Ridge Pippin Cider: This single-varietal cider from Nashi Orchards is made with organic Newton Pippin apples grown at Sakura Ridge orchard in Hood River, Oregon. Strong notes of apple and gooseberry. Dry cider with low tannins and high acidity. A nice, crisp expression of Newtown Pippin.
Idyll Acres Cider: This dry cider is made from a blend of bitter sharp and bittersweet apple varieties grown at Idyll Acres Orchard in Oregon's Wilamette Valley. Many of our favorite cider apple varieities are used to make this beauty: Kingston Black, Frequiin Rouge, Yarlington Mill, Sweet Coppin, and Santiam Cherry. It was blended prior to bottling with a bit of Ashmead's Kernal for acidity and aromatics. Lightly carbonated, this is a nod to a traditional English cider..
The six-bottle box features additional bottles from Nashi (will include duplicate bottles, depending on current inventory).
Why we love Nashi Orchards: Nashi grows 15 varietals of Asian pears, numerous varieties of perry pears, and cider and Spanish sidra apples on their Salmon-Safe certified Vashon orchard and certified organic Hood River orchard. Each year they release a handful of excellent, small-batch cider and perry offerings. They have one of our favorite tasting rooms to visit on Vashon Island, just west of Seattle. Each year they help organize one of our favorite Cider festivals in the Pacific Northwest in collaboration with the Vashon Chamber of Commerce - the Vashon Island Cider Fest.
