South Hill Cider - Newtown Pippin Single-Varietal (750 mL)
South Hill Cider - Newtown Pippin Single-Varietal (750 mL)
South Hill Cider's Newtown Pippin cider is a single-varietal cider made 100% from Newtown Pippin apples grown in the Finger Lakes region in Upstate New York. The Newtown Pippin apple is native to Queens, NY. It was propegated widely in the 1700s, all the way down to Virginia - where it was renamed to Albemarle Pippin in their local area.
This cider is made in the traditional Method Champenoise after fermenting to complete dryness. Champagne like with very lively small bubbles. This dry cider is bright and crisp. Notes of cantaloupe on the nose, with honeysuckle and pear. Mouth-watering, long finish.
