Trabanco - Sidra Natural Cosecha Propia (700 mL)
Trabanco - Sidra Natural Cosecha Propia (700 mL)
Trabanco's Sidra Natural - Cosecha Propia is one of the few Asturian Ciders that make it to the U.S. any more.
In Asturias in Northern Spain, Traditional cider houses like Trabanco have been at the center of their regional culture for more than 1,000 years. To this day, Sidra Natural is enjoyed nearly every day by locals in Asturias.
About Sidra Natural: made by Spanish cider houses using apples grown on their own estate, often farm based orchards that have been in the family for multiple generations over 100+ years. A blend of sharp apple varieties is most common (higher in acidity, lower in tannins). Fermented naturally using native yeast living on the fruit, each cider is fermented to dry, then aged in large chestnut barrels. Bottled still (not carbonated), it's best enjoyed relatively fresh. Traditionally poured a few ounces at a time by holding the bottle above your head and splashing a few gulps into a glass held near your waist (do the Long Pour!).
Trabanco's Cosecha Propia is special cider blend from Sidra Trabanco - made with only estate grown, native Asturian apple varieties that have been selected by the Asturian Association of Cider Apple Growers. Trabanco cider is fermented with native yeasts at low temperatures in chestnut barrels. Notes of ripe apple, rose, and citrus. Pairs exceptionally with manchego cheese, cured ham, or pork belly.
We carry more ciders from Spain than anywhere else in the U.S. Shop our entire collection of Spanish Cider Brands, including several Sidra de Asturias and Sagardoas from Basque Country.
