Liberty Ciderworks - Harrison (500 mL)
Liberty Ciderworks - Harrison (500 mL)
Liberty Cider's Harrison is a single-variety cider made from 100% Harrison apples grown by Lazy S Orchard in Ellensburg, WA.
Harrison is an American Heirloom apple variety originally from New Jersey. This apple was long ago beloved by early American cider makers, then thought to be lost for generations before being rediscovered - and now making it's triumphant return as one of the more popular and beloved apple varieties for cider making. Happily, Harrison apples seem to love growing in the Pacific Northwest – and so Liberty is working to include them more often.
Wild fermented with a prolonged bottle conditioning. Balance of flavor cues, including peach, lychee, and apricot.
About Liberty Ciderworks: Liberty is one of the absolute best cider makers in the Pacific Northwest - and America for that matter. Based in Spokane, Washington, they gather nearly all of their fruit from three tiny, family-run orchards in Eastern Washington that grow apple varieties with cider in mind. Soil and climate play major roles, as do the native yeasts they allow to ferment their ciders. Employing “natural wine” methods in all of their ferments, Liberty never filters their ciders and allows each orchard’s native yeast to work its magic. Their approach is inspired by global styles and traditions, but reflects their own apples, landscape, and culture. It’s a philosophy expressed in everything they produce, and it’s one we think you’ll really enjoy. Most of their ciders will be particularly appealing to fans of English style ciders.
