Dragon's Head Cider - Crimson Gold (750 mL)
Dragon's Head Cider - Crimson Gold (750 mL)
Dragon's Head's Crimson Gold cider is a single-varietal cider made from Crimson Gold apples. Originally known as Little Rosybloom, this delicious little hybrid apple was developed by legendary California apple grower Albert Etter in the 1940s. Etter was unable to complete the patent for the apple before he passed away in 1950, and the variety was forgotten and nearly lost forever until a single limb of it was found growing in an old test orchard in 1970.
Created by cross-pollinating a crabapple with an eating apple, this apple grows well in Washington State and is increasing in popularity amongst cider makers in the area.
This Crimson Gold cider from Dragon's Head has bold aromas of lychee and white grape, with flavors of tropical fruit and tangerine. Tart and confectionary finish.
