Keepsake Cidery - Chestnut Crabapple Single-Varietal (750 mL)
Keepsake Cidery - Chestnut Crabapple Single-Varietal (750 mL)
Keepsake Cidery's Chestnut cider is a single-varietal cider made 100% from Chestnut Crabapples, spontaneously fermented and bottled in the Pet Nat style. A rare and unique treat - the Chestnut Crab is native to Keepsake's home state of Minnesota, and is a crab apple known for its large, sweet, and nutty flavored fruit.
Dry cider with medium body and lead by a kick of acidity. Hints of toffee, cherry, rose, leather, and pears. Flavors and aromas intensify as cider breathes and warms up.
As with all of Keepsake's ciders, this is made without anything added or anything removed - the only ingredient is the apples.
About Keepsake Cidery: From the Cannon Valley in Minnesota, Keepsake makes some of the finest ciders in the Midwest. Named after the Keepsake apple, which was developed locally by the University of Minnesota's Horticulture program. Head Cidermaker Nate Watters makes a range of dry-to-sweet ciders with fantastic character and flavor profiles - clearly inspired by great English ciders. Made using cider apple varieties grown on their own orchard and procured from other local farms in the area - most of which are organically grown. All of the ciders are fermented naturally with the native yeast living on the fruit, and without any additives (no added sugar, nutrients, sulfites, etc.).
