The Cider Farm's Classic Dry is made from a blend of five English cider apple varieites, all known for their tannins. The base apple is Liberty - a tart apple that gives the cider acidity and sugars needed to blend with the tannin forward varieties that include Major, Kingston Black, Somerset Redstreak, Chisel Jersey and Dabinett.
This cider has a golden hue and ripe apple aromatics that float from the glass. Dry with medium tannins and medium acid in great balance. Tannins cross the palate first, then are washed away by the cider's acidity. Flavor notes of apple skin, apple juice, lemon & lime zest, hint of clove. Tart with slightly bitter notes (think grapefruit peel) linger on the palate. Quite nice!

About The Cider Farm: The Cider Farm is a small-batch cidery based in Mineral Point, Wisconsin. Their efforts to make fantastic ciders started nearly 20 years ago with the planting and grafting of their own farm based cider orchard. Their focus is on traditional English and French cider apple varieties, all grown organically. They make a wide range of ciders including mostly traditional style blends, plus a few modern cider styles - all using exceptional apple varieties for cider, and growing practices that brings out the highest quality in their fruit.
